Free Intranet & Internet access

Free internet access at Forest Edge

Internet access

Finally, after a lot of work with BT and of course a big thanks to our sponsors Redstone (providing the broadband services),  we now have internet access available for our visitors at the track.  The even better news for all is that we are providing this service free!!!

The club do not accept any responsibility for any devices such as laptops, tablets, smart phones etc.  So please look after them if you do bring them along.

Live Video and timing

We have been experimenting with a solution to provide live video direct from the track on practice and race days.  With the new internet lines now installed we are now looking at buying an external IP based video camera which will allow us to send a live video feed of the start finish line so that friends and family can get more involved from the comfort of their own home.

We have also changed the way you’re friends and family can view the live timing online.  The live timing will now be presented as a web page on the club web site which will be clearer and therefore easier to read than our previous live update system.

The Club Intranet (Not internet)

An intranet (local wireless network) was brought online at the club today (16th of July) and will give wireless access to around 40% of the pits.  So from the next race meeting if you are in the top half of the pits and you can pick up our wireless network you will be able to access the club intranet web site and view live race updates with drivers positions and individual lap times as the racing is happening.  Stand on the viewing platform with your smart phone and look at the lap times of all the drivers racing to see who is quickest in each lap.

To access the intranet do the following:

You will see the club intranet and you can just browse the site as you would any other web site.
