Welcome to RavenSport Photographic

Hi, my name is Graham Ravensdale and welcome to my website for Forest Edge Kart Club.

Me

Some information

Having been the General Manager of a Peugeot Talbot dealership followed by a spell of classic car dealing including exporting Jaguars to Australia, I decided that there must be more to life during the mid nineties when changes were apparent within the trade that had no appeal to me. With an interest in fast cars and motorsport and a growing interest in photography I decided to embark on a new career and Ravensport Photographic was born.

G4

I was lucky that Marcos Cars were embarking on a considerable racing programme at the same time and I photographed them at Le Mans I believe in 1994. The next year I returned as their photographer thus starting a love of long distance sports car racing that extends to this day and I returned to Le Mans twice a year for the pre qualifying and the race until 2001. I hope to reacquaint myself with these monsters again during 2010. I started supplying newspapers and magazines and selling photographs to the public by renting retail space at shows, markets etc and continue to promote my business to this day by utilising the same methods. In time customers were asking me to supply Formula 1 images so I went and shot them.

Next bikes and I well remember my first meeting- it was September 1999 at Brands Hatch and turned out to be Carl Fogarty's last World Superbike race in England. Such was the greatness of the man, I am still selling photographs of that meeting to this day. I have photographed a lot of current and past formula one drivers when they were competing in lesser formula and I was at Silverstone when Lewis Hamilton won the head to head with Pedro de la Rosa to land the McLaren drive. Recently bikes have featured heavily in my workflow and I have major commitments within the British Superbike Championship but I hope to redress the balance shortly.

LM26

I have photographed most everything from F1 to club racing including Le Mans, British GT, FIA GT, F3, BTCC, American Le Mans, Rally GB etc. For 2009 and again in 2010 I am the official photographer for the EKC Endurance Championship and I am also the official photographer for 2010 for the FEKC which now brings you up to date with my career.

Thank you for visiting my site and I hope you enjoy my photographs.

Many thanks

Graham
